Buying Insurance Policies

Buying Insurance Policies
SimSure is now phone‑exclusive - you can only access it through the in‑game phone app.
Open your Sim’s phone, find the SimSure App, and tap Get a Quote to begin.
Teens and older Sims are eligible to purchase a policy.
⬅️Once you start, your Sim will receive a notification asking which region they live in, and the setup continues from there.
If you’re happy with the region shown, tap Continue.
⬅️You’ll then see a list of all plans available in your region.

Each region has its own pricing, so the cost of each plan will depend on where your Sim lives.
Every plan also has its own eligibility requirements.
Only the plans your Sim qualifies for will be available to purchase.

For example, the Essential Home Plan has no requirements
When you select the Essential Home Plan, the system will automatically apply your region’s cost.
For Low‑Risk regions, this is a one‑off $100 payment.
Once the payment is taken, your Sim has officially purchased their House Insurance plan.
Your Sim will receive:
House Insurance Plan Trait — available to all Sims Teen and older
Region Risk Trait + Plan Name — for example:
Low‑Risk • Essential Home Plan
(This is only applied to the Sim who bought the plan.)
After buying your House Insurance, you’ll be asked if you want to add the Repair Bundle.
Repair Bundle Offer
The Repair Bundle is now a single combined cost that covers:
Plumbing repairs
Gadget repairs
Appliance repairs
If you choose Yes, your first payment of $70 will be taken immediately.
Your Sim will then receive the Repair Plus Trait, which is available to all Sims Teen and older.
Next, you’ll be asked whether you want to add Pet Cover.
Pet Cover plans exist in the mod, but they are not currently available for purchase.
Because of this, the only options you’ll be able to select are:
No Thanks
Cancel
Choosing No Thanks on Pet Cover will move you to the next question: Would you like to include Life Cover?Cancel will end the quote
You’ll be shown a list of Life Cover plans, including:

Payout amounts
Only the plans your Sim qualifies for will be available to purchase — any plans your Sim does not meet the requirements for will be locked.
Because My Sim has a family, I have choose the Premium Plan.
When I select the plan, $40 payment is taken immediately.
The Sim who purchased the policy will receive the
Life Insurance + Plan Name — for example:
Life Insurance – Premium Trait.
A Sim Picker will then appear so you can choose your beneficiaries.
In this example, I select everyone in your household.
It doesn’t have to be someone in your household — you can choose any Sim your Sim has met.

Please note that Life Cover only applies to the Sim who buys it.
If you want other Sims (Teen and older) to have Life Cover, you’ll need to purchase a separate policy for each Sim.
Once you finish selecting your beneficiaries and completing the purchase, your Sim will receive a Welcome Notification confirming their new coverage.

Payments for any active SimSure plans are continuous and will keep being charged every Friday until:
You cancel the plan, or
Payments fail (non‑payment)
