SimSure Insurance
SimSure is currently in beta, so you may experience some issues while using it.
Fire Claims Management
You can manage all SimSure claims in one central section.
Claims can be made for:
Death of a Sim
House Fire
Burglary
Pet Damage
All of these claim types are handled through the same Claims Management area, making it easy for your Sims household to submit and track any incident.
Claim Eligibility Depends on Your Plan
The types of claims your household can make will always depend on which House Insurance plan you purchased.
For example:
Essential Home
Covers Fire only — so you can only make Fire Claims.
Safe Haven
Covers Fire + Theft — so you can make Fire Claims and Burglary Claims.
After your claim has been received, there will be a short wait.
You will then get a notification telling you that you need to book a Fire Assessment.
To do this:
Go to the Household menu
Find Fire Inspection
Select it to book your assessment
Once selected, you will receive a pop‑up in the top‑right corner showing the day and time of your appointment.
When your Fire Inspector arrives, you will receive a notification letting you know they are on the lot.
There are several interactions available with the inspector:
If you do not complete Discuss the Fire, your household will not receive a pay-out.
When you begin Discuss the Fire, your Sim will be given a choice of Assessment Type, depending on their traits:
Truthful
Creative
Whichever path you choose, the inspector will ask the same set of questions:
Location of the Fire?
Smoke Alarm Installed?
Ceiling Sprinkler?
Fire Extinguisher Installed?
Answering these questions completes the assessment.
Once you have finished, you may dismiss (fire) the inspector, unless you want to use the optional interactions first.
Once you dismiss (fire) the inspector, you will receive a notification confirming that it is now safe to replace your damaged items.
After a wait, you will receive your SimSure Damage Report.
This report is based entirely on the choices you made when you discussed the fire with the inspector — including your assessment path (Truthful or Creative) and the answers you provided.
Next, you will receive a notification confirming that your claim is closed and your money has been issued to your household account.
